About Forms Academy
Forms Academy is the developmental force behind our players' technique acquisition and skill execution.
Forms Academy specializes in the development of technique and transitioning that technique into skill. "Technique Conquers All" and "Progress Not Perfection" are the primary messages communicated in every session as we focus on technique above everything else.
"Forms" is a nod to Socrates' Theory of Forms; Forms being the most perfect rendition of a physical object or expression, such as technique, skill, and the approach or training towards technique and skill acquisition (T&SA). Socrates posits that perfection of technique, or any Form, can only exist theoretically, as an idea, and though we may come close, true perfection is impossible. Therefore, always striving to improve our own Forms (Forms of technique and skill) with the understanding that perfection is impossibly dynamic, we make progress (Progress Not Perfection) during the process.
ALPHAFORMS is the competitive group of players representing the Forms Academy.
Forms Academy seeks Alpha in our approach. "Alpha" carries multiple references, both a nod to the dominant entity and a nod to success/profitability. In both scenarios, FA seeks both to craft and to develop the dominant player on the pitch, the 10.
