Refocusing on playing the game...

We have been focusing on technique and skill over the last several practices, which I believe has yielded solid results, however; I will be moving back towards a play-dominate session over the next four sessions in order to focus on transitioning player technique into skill.

If you'll recall, I consider technique to be the ability to perform the physical task while skill, the most significant of the two, to be the ability to perform the technique under pressure.  Lately, with the rough play and ridiculous assault-style of play our boys have endured, I would like to ramp up their implementation of the technique we have been crafting.

Regardless of the results this past weekend, the win and the loss for the 2010s and the continued domination by the 2011s, I cannot comment enough on the level of play each player has displayed.  I encourage all the parents to review footage of the boys from a month ago compared to now to get a feel for the improvement.

I know its only Tuesday, but I cannot wait for this weekend to see the boys back in action.
